How it started...well I it all happened in 2019 when I was able to help another adoptee friend who came to visit Colombia. We weren't planning to search and I didn't have much experience at that time but was able to locate her birth mother that same day. It usually doesn't work that quickly, but it was in that moment that I realized what one of my purposes was; to create a safer and reliable pathway for other adoptees to locate their biological families in a comphrensive, holistic and trauma informed way while providing another option to our collective. Having been through the whole experience of searching and reunifying with my family, combining this with my social work background has equipped me to support fellow adoptees in process.
